I come from the new world, where the Spanish Crown arrived in 1492. In my country, Guatemala, weapons do not defend, they kill, and the army committed the greatest atrocities during the 36 years of war.

The 2019 military parade was the last to celebrate Spain's National Day in the streets, something that had never happened since its inception in 1987.

For me that celebration of 2019 was reduced to a crossroads of directions that pointed towards that "new world" from which I come and which will no longer be.
